NEW MEXICO: State officials officially unveiled a new bill this week that would reportedly criminalize abortions in the state. According to The Huffington Post, the bill which has already been heavily criticized by a local non profit organization -- would punish those who seek abortions.
Lawmakers had this to say about the bill, backing it, of course Republican-style:
“Tampering with evidence shall include procuring or facilitating an abortion, or compelling or coercing another to obtain an abortion, of a fetus that is the result of criminal sexual penetration or incest with the intent to destroy evidence of the crime," the bill says.
